#2, it does record to DVD if the specifications listed at woot are correct. It also has a firewire input port on front that you can use to connect a DV camera and record from DV to DVD. What they don't list is if the DV output is recorded as DV .avi or if it is converted to MPEG2 format for DVD creation.
