AVOID like the plague if you DO NOT WISH to use a tripod for every instance of recording with this thing.

Been there done that. No thanks.

Yeah... what he said. Low light performance is excellent though, unfortunately the digital image stabilizer is worthless and the widest angle not wide enough. Spend the extra money and get the Canon with optical image stabilization.
