Invest in some duracell AAA rechargeables as the ones that come with these phones are sh!te!
overall: spend a few buck more and get a Panny 5 set from Costco.

#1, these beep in your ear at least 5 times (every 20-30 seconds) for a couple minutes before dying. Overall, it's been a good phone. My BC-900 keeps the batteries refreshed every few months..bacon's the message waiting light that kills the batteries. Great speakerphone in every handset, plus blue backlighting is cool.

#2, the bacon
is actually the "missed call" LED and it will, indeed, quickly drain the batteries when flashing. Talk time is not bad, though. I had a (rare) 1.5 hour conversation last night and the battery indicator didn't drop at all. The phone would probably be down to one bar if the "missed call" LED had been flashing for 1.5 hours.

Agreed, but it is usually on the charger base when flashing...I just have to remember to scroll through calls and messages and it goes away with no problems. Only issue I have is that the caller ID doesn't work while already on a call...frustrating.
