Safer than Seagate, right?

what's wrong with seagate? I have numerous seagates well outside of their warranty working great. There was one model of seagate that had a firmware issue that was recognized, and quickly fixed via patch (and any current stock was recalled and fixed).

this is a great drive. i have had one like this for about a year and it i has been great

same price in store at my local target YMMV

There's a new version of this drive. Looks like the new one has revised backup software & hardware encryption.

I purchased this drive not long ago when it was $99 through Dell. Great drive. Very quiet. It is the fastest of my 3 externals.
