What's to break on this? It has no moving parts! I've had mine since it first came out, recently updated it with WDLXTV 61 firmware from http://www.wdtvc.com/ and it works great!

yep, I got 1 too and no problem except for the long boot up time-seeking for hard drive ... and remote annoying delay (program it to use different remote and use a Time Warner universal remote and it responds much faster but still stutter sometimes).

me too got one since last year, great player, its my bluray substitute. had my with the $30 network usb in running the custom firmware. awesome player.
