This is a great antenna for those who are relatively close to HD sources. When it comes to rural areas though, you need a HUGE antenna... if you know what I mean... bazing, haha.

I live about 20-25 miles from the hd antennas in our area and I do just fine with a $12 set of rabbit ears. (Some dropout problems during heavy rain.)
