I bought one of these for my partner while she was in rehab for a broken hip and it works just fine. Has a digital tuner, you need a better antenna than the tiny one they give you but it has a sharp picture and is easy to use.

Buy may be giving you a "refurb" as lots of their stuff is returns. Amazon had a great price on them and free shipping.

This is one of the better pieces of electronics and great for bedside to use with earphones while your partner sleeps.

1440 x 234? Can that be right? Wouldnt that be that like 12:1 or so?

They always lie about the resolution to make it sound like it has a high rez screen. They basically take the first number (the Horizontal) and multiply it by 3, due to the fact of each of the 3 color pixels (Red Green Blue).

So this Screen is in fact a 480x234 or otherwise a god awful worthless picture quality screen for anything.
