I got one of these; works perfectly and do not have anything to complain about.

The power connector is crap, but does work once you tinker with it. Overall happy with mine. works well.

Given I paid $20 from Amazon, I'd say it's a good price.

#2 I've seen very few of these (not just specifically this brand) that didn't have a crappy power connector.

I bought one and the power adapter was DOA, but the vendor replaced it with a much bigger and better build adapter, and that one is still working. Now the bad news is I think the 3.5inch IDE side has died. Well I just ordered another one and maybe this one will hold up better.

It will allow you to connect one drive in either IDE 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch. Also has a cable and connector for SATA drives, 2.5 or 3.5 inch. All drive are converted to USB 2.0 (compatible with slower USB 1.1) The included power supply, and adapter cables, power up drives that need external power.

The included power supply is crap, capable of periodic use but not something you want to leave running all the time.

I have two of these -- may get a third. I have used it on all four types of drives (PATA & SATA, both 2.5 & 3.5) with no complaints. Many, many uses but particularly useful for cloning for drive upgrades -- you don't have to put the new drive in a housing to clone it! Highly recommended. (As Ben says, just be careful not to drop the bare drives.)
