I'm not sure what Ben posted a picture of, but it looks nothing like this PS3 charging dock. In case anyone is curious, you have to plug this dock into an available USB port, so it is not self-powered. From the product description:

I don't think there is a self-powered charger on the market.
It is common sense that all charging stations have to be plugged into a USB port or a power socket.
Where would the power come from then?
Maybe a solar-powered PS3 charging station is what you are looking for.
