Beds like this are perfect for ensuring that your overnight guests are miserable the following morning, thereby guaranteeing that they never annoy you by sleeping over ever again!

I slept on one of these for nearly a year. It wasn't too bad. For guests it is a great idea! Better than getting a bed.

#1 - especially if you fill it with air that you've farted out your a$$. It pretty much guarantees that your guests won't be there for breakfast.

Aerobeds aren't that bad - its ok for a day or 2.

#3 that's an interesting thought, but I think it would take some time. Anybody know the volume of a typical poot? Maybe 15mL?

These beds are great. We've had one for a couple of years now and have had 4 sets of guests use it - all commenting on how surprisingly comfortable it was to sleep on. $69 is a decent price. We paid $89 for ours.

We have a raised aerobed, and it is quite comforatable. I have slept on other manually inflated ones that are pretty bad, perhaps that is what #1 is thinking of..

    Aerobeds are the best.

These beds are great for when you need extra sleeping space and this is the best price I've seen for a bed like this.

Yes, they ARE great...for a year. Then they develop small holes. Nothing better than getting all nice and ready to sleep and then two hours later, get woken up violently cuz you hit the floor and the mattress has formed some sort of claustrophic inducing wall around you.

do they generally deflate over time, if you use it for several days in a row?

I slept on one of these for about 2 weeks and it is not as bad as some of you are saying. It sets up quickly and you can take it down quickly too. You can fill it up as much as you need for firmness. And if your guest don't like it, let them go spend a hundred a night somewhere else!!
