from the Sound Blaster x-fi wikipedia article:
Low profile card (half height), does not contain the EMU20K1 chipset used by the rest of the series. Is based on the same chipset as the Audigy SE, Audigy Value and SB Live! 24-bit. It also has Crystalizer and CMSS-3D. Also available for PCI Express (using CA0110 chipset) and ExpressCard.

Good to know... also lot of posts in the history about this poser. Eggviews are split right down the middle in two camps; those who understood what they were buying and those who got taken at twice the price.
While the price is more than half what it was last time Ben listed it 11/15/07. Not the worst if you have an older mobo with say a mediocre RealTek, might be good enough for listening to music for this price?

so this is the "fake" X-Fi. I knew it was too good to be true, as the real X-Fi cards are usually around $100 last time I looked.

When it's too good to be true... it usually is.

This is just fine for general music listening, but not the best for gaming...
