This has micro cloth towel.. Although, your right their real chamois suck!
I bought one of what Meguiar's called super thick 4' square through Amazon and it was really thin and really the most odd shape “square”. While I suppose there could have been 576 sq. inches of material to it. Then whatever they did to soften (normally cod oil) it made it not absorbent and slimy at least for the first 20 or so dries’; which that’s somewhat expected, but this was the worst. Several of my chamois are well over 15 years old and they have held up fine if you understand how to care for them. I’ve learn to hand pick the quality and I find the best are made by the “Whales” brand from England.

mequires has teh best care cleaning products for the consumer. the swirl remover, and waxes are great.
regarding the chamois - they are not meant to suck up all the water but to move the beads off the car. if the car is waxed well they are great, if not they are useless.

Meguiar's stuff is good, but this kit is more like entry level. A step up would be the Meguiar's NXT Wash & Wax Kit which goes for $26.88 on Amazon.
Also, I highly recommend their Ultimate Quik Wax (not standard Quik Wax). Do a search on G17516 to locate it on Amazon. The stuff is insanely easy to apply and provides great wax shine protection. You do have to apply it more often, however, but you don't have to slave over applying it. Basically, spray, wipe, turn over towel, wipe again. That's it. Oh, and you can even use it on your windows, and any black trim on the car won't turn white in color like other sprays. You can also apply it in direct sunlight. Use a microfiber applicator towel, not terry cloth.
