Strong suggestion: Don't buy any digtal camera that doesn't have an optical viewfinder!

Reasons are, 1. outdoor pictures will be only a "guess" relying only on an LCD, especially on sunny days, and 2. holding these little cameraas to your eye aids in stability--sharper pics--regardless of built-in image stabilization schemes.

Best deal I've seen this week is the in-store at Target for aCanon A1000is for $104! Check the reviews...

Many people, include me obviously, prefer to compose on the LCD screen rather than using a viewfinder. Most modern camera display LCDs are quite usable, even in full sunlight. I don't have a problem with holding a camera without bracing it against my head.

I wouldn't buy this camera because I don't like the vendor, not because it, like most digital cameras these days, doesn't have a view finder.

I have a Nikon L3, similar camera. Works fine in sunlight takes decent pictures and is small enough to keep in your pocket. Nice little standby when you can't bring the big camera.
