A very good entry level camera with a decent lens. I have this and I love it. The price is good too, especially when you get this from bing.com. More than enough for newbie.

As far as I know the T1i is the one that does video, and HD at that. Im not sure if any g the others offer video at all.

XS/XSi does not have video. XSi is a slightly better camera than the XS (if you really need a few more AF points, spot metering and faster RAW burst), but if the difference is more than say $100 or so between the two, the XS is a good deal. I just picked up the XSi for $579 at Newegg last week, which is about the best I've seen it anywhere. $490 is decent for the XS, but Amazon has had it around $470 w/ free shipping in the past (currently $499).
