Is this a working product with Windows 7? I really like my built-in motherboard sound and will give this a try if I DON'T get any hardware problems. Also, is the newest card do out anytime soon?

Creative just doesn't know how to make drivers that work. I will not buy Creative card again WAY to many problems with their drivers even with XP.

using this card with Vista and it works perfectly. I haven't had any driver problems. excellent card too. If you pay FPS games, it is worth it. It really improves the environmental sounds.

I have the X-Fi Elite Pro (essentially the PCI version) and it's much better sound quality than onboard. Of course this is my subjective opinion. Make sure you install ALchemy if using Vista or Windows 7 for your favorite games.

If the software is bloated, why install it. I only install the driver and ALchemy. I'm running Windows 7 RC1 and it's working great.

I'm also using this card with Vista, and although Vista sucks IMO, this card is sweet. No driver issues at all, and no software issues. Recommended.
