Then again with so many better name generics’ TN panels for a little more I can’t see rolling the dice for this!

V7 isn't really generic, it's made by Ingram which is one of the biggest distributors out there. I have one of their other models and it's pretty nice. The colors don't pop quite as much as some brands and it doesn't go as bright. Text quality is excellent though, and the build quality seems high. I'd say it's a great buy for office type use, not so much for looking at pretty pictures and stuff like that.
