Good unit at a great price. I've been using a reconditioned Garmin unit for over 3 years now with only one freeze up ever. I've updated maps and added Europe maps flawlessly.

I could never make it on Black Friday. Always hung over from the night before.

I paid $200 for the 265WT so this is a really good deal if you don't need the traffic updates and if the refurb lasts.

Have other people had good luck buying refurb GPS units? I know there's a bit of risk, but this price is almost 20% cheaper than the best deal I've seen out there for a new 255W, which is Dell's $143 special that comes around every month or so.

Since no one has responded to my question about the quality of refurb units, I thought I'd post my own update. I went for this deal and the GPS worked fine...for just under 24 hours. I used it 4 or 5 times, then tried to use it again and it wouldn't turn on...not with the power button or when I plugged it into USB. Now I have to deal with the hassle of returning it.
The only other refub unit I've purchased is a Dell monitor. Same thing: it worked fine for about a day and then the on/off and menu buttons stopped working. Had to send it back.
Does anyone test this stuff?!!?

To Buy.com's credit, they paid for the return shipping and refunded my money for the defective unit above. I just got an email confirming the credit today.
