#5, the tires are 32c width, which is pretty darn wide - almost like a 1" MTB slick instead of a road tire. Just one of the many reasons this bike is less like a road bike and more like a crappy 29er with drop bars and slicks. I assume the tires are at least rated to 50 PSI, which is more than enough for cruising around.
The big problems with this bike are the components - cheap, rust easily, no durability (especially the rims). You're gonna pay to maintain this bike.

I knew GMC was downsizing. But to go from a fullsize SUV to a road bike is pretty drastic.

Uhh, #6, a 1" MTB slick IS A ROAD TIRE. It's actually not such a good idea in the snow belt, given the state of our roads today, to get a bike with the narrowest tires possible because this is certainly not a racing tier bike, it's for the average dumb'sumer.
Besides the rims being prone to bending, the rest of the hardware won't be especially likely to break because it is a road bike. The brakes won't stop worth a crap, especially if they get wet, so your hospital bills may be the expensive part but anyone competent at bicycle maintenance shouldn't have a hard time with things like the base level 21 speed shimano drivetrain and other components, even the $80 walmart specials hold up if you keep them on paved roads (except for the rims and shifters).
