Do these uber-expensive units provide you with anything functionally better, or is it just bells and whistles like 3D buildings and lane assist?

Just curious if the GPS antenna is any better or if the software is functionally different.

Well, it does provide the traffic real time. 3d is a plus. But if you want just a regular one that can get you to your destination a bit longer, there are 70 dollar gps.

How well does the traffic function work? I never use the 3D crapola.

The free traffic sucked me in and I got one from Dell for under $300.

Save your money, my old Magellen 4000 is better than this.

I can't poke forward to see the next instructions which was nice as if you don't hear the directions well the first time you could look.

It has a lot of features we can't see are useful. Takes a LONG time to load the maps and find the satellites.

Especially crappy, it has ADS for Best Western Motels and I'm sure more. No one ever said you were getting ads.

This is a piece of crap, stay away from it unless you like to be annoyed.

Meh. I have tried several and it is a relative tie between Garmin and Magellan. Both have their issues and inaccuracies. My car has far better nav than any portable unit I have yet encountered. We have a Toyota product touch screen nav (GM uses nearly the same units). I have heard that Honda has a very nice solution as well.
