Used to be all Buck knives were first rate, and made in the USA. That's not true any longer. This one is "Imported" so who knows where it's made. Probably China.

The ones made in China aren't all the bad, just avoid the cheapest ones in the under $25 range (or less at discount). Decent blades coming out of China, it's just the handles are a little less well finished in the low end from China.
This handle included, it's not going to be very well finished compared to Bucks of 20 years ago, and not very sturdy unless it has full liners (can't tell from the pic).
