The key is to get one of these on sale for around 50. They are worth the money in my book. They are made well and logitech stands behind their products.

I returned an MX because it didn't have a middle mouse button click feature. Got one of these. Best mouse I've ever owned. Uses regular AA rechargeable, has crazy thumb button, unifying receiver was long overdue...glad they finally came around.
