Used this in UC Davis, pretty good head lamp for biking

yes strap your rooster right in there and go at it #1.

Kidding aside, unless you only use a headlamp for low detail very close-up work, avoid those with multiple tiny encapsulated LEDs and get one with at least a primary 1W-3W power led. Also avoid those using 3 x AAA batteries if at all possible, it's one of the worst battery options for brightness, runtime, battery cost and recharging.

Uhh, it's not very good at all for biking because the encapsulated LEDs without a proper reflector and lens assembly greatly reduce the throw, not to mention the overrall low brightness. You'll have to ride fairly slow or already be on top of what you're seeing before you have time to react. Maybe not so bad with roads where you're familar with every little pothole, but generally not as good as many headlamps for general use- but then the better ones cost more, don't they always?

Totally worth 5 bucks, these are smaller than the other model they sell and more comfortable. 3 brightness settings and a flashing mode.

Cheaply made but all arrived from the Mainland in one piece and none have died.

There are better ones for sure but these are fine for what I need.
