Wow. Such hate.
The movie was different. Different != bad in this case.
It restored interest in a franchise that was on the brink of death after Enterprise and Nemesis.

I went to see this with very low expectations. Perhaps that's why I thought it was above average and did a good job of restarting the series.

The overuse of lens flare utterly ruined the movie. I was hoping that there would be a version without it, but apparently the idiot director put the flare in with mirrors and lights, not post-processing. Thanks bundles, jerkoff.
