i got the pro version and I can watch tv on my computer while someone is watching tv on the tv itself. I read before i bought this and it says you cannot do this. I love this product.

Watch out for sling products. I believe they have gone downhill since they were bought out. Check their forums. Many of us have upgraded the firmware and can't connect to the boxes anymore.
I have had a Pro for 3 years. I upgraded and can no longer connect. Same for a friend.
Many others report connection problems far in excess of what they used to experience.

#5, have you tried specifying your IP address when connecting? I connect to my slingbox from outside, I had tons of connection issues when using the basic setup of "logging in" and your slingbox just appearing, but if you specify your router's IP address and all the other necessary information you should be able to connect.
Slingbox has been great to me, #3, a cheaper alternative, and frankly more reliable is setting up 2 DD-WRT wireless routers and having the slingbox directly connected to one of the wireless routers.

I can't connect with a computer that is hard wired to the same router.
Some tests I performed:
Router sees IP Address of the slingbox.
Powerdown the slingbox. Refresh the router, no slingbox IPaddress
Powerup the slingbox.
One light, then the center light blinks 5 times then both right hand lights on.
Refresh the router, the slingbox IPAddress is back
Ping it, "Request timed out" four times.
Attempt to connect with sling player. Error: 0x8007274D....Make sure set up for remote viewing (we are hard wired to the same router) and not blocked by firewall/NAT settings...
(Same slingplayer connects to a friend's (non updated) slingbox over internet).
