I have this, use it on an old Dell Inspiron 2650 w/USB 1.0, works great on my G, can't say anything about the N as I don't have it.

Got 1 for $18. It worked great on both 2.4GHz & 5GHz wireless n bands. Poor software and drivers from Netgear. Just let Windows search for the driver then use Windows Zero Config.
