These are a great addition to those Slimline chassis, as such boxes don’t provide a bunch of air flow and normally no straightforward way to help move air over a passive card. These with a passive heatsink will idle >50°C, so even though they add a slight increase of audible dBa, it isn’t the worst. Actually Eggviews don’t harp about the fan and some give it kudos.

If you’re looking to add DVI-D, HDMI with HD audio output over the cable when watching Blue-ray movies, this does all that at a fair price. While don’t expect gaming, it will improve most video or 3D tasks compared to older on-board VGA like the 6150 chipset.

That Powercolor further down is pretty much identical and I like the bigger OD fan. While the Asus has solid capacitors the other use the older pop-tops, but those two are really beefy size. I might go with the P-C even though a 2-Y vs Asus 3-Y warranty, the cooler and fan just seems nicer.

I'd buy it if it was DDR3.

#6 -- As this only has a 64-Bit memory interface having DDR3 wouldn't be much a boon. When the 4650 has a 128-Bit and DDR3 your right they a very nice package. There were many that got configured that way, they weren't cheap and most dried up quickly. Guys that picked them up, especially half height, got a very proficient card for a media center, providing some light gaming, along with the video responsibilities.
