Buy.com and rebates are not a good pair; plan on not getting the rebate money...

I bought a Calvary hard drive from Buy.com before and I got my rebate..
Maybe the problem with people not getting their mail in rebates honored is because they have trouble reading and following instructions on how to properly redeem the rebate?

#2 - Maybe you got lucky. Even in Russsian roulette, somebody gets the empty chamber.
But you still got only a one-year warranty.

buy.com sometimes has large exclusive rebates from fly-by-nites (in my case Ion XG PC Combo Mod Kit) which are never honored. Sometimes the instructions are vague and impossible to follow to give them cover, but in that case I assure yoy they were actually thieving. And buy.com shares culpability.
If it's a major manufacturer, that's a different story. Those have always been honored for me.
