Most point and shoot cameras have eliminated the ability to look thru the view finder when shooting the picture. Regardless of how well the image stabilization software works, it is still difficult to get a sharp picture when you have to hold the camera in front of you. The Canon PowerShot SD780IS gives the user the choice between the large, well-lit LCD or the traditional viewfinder.

The controls are easy to identify and use and the battery life appears to be quite satisfactory. Picture quality is excellent.

maybe a traditional TINY viewfinder. Tiny enough to almost be useless..
