#1, if you don't mind, could you point out some in that price range that have external 2dBi or better antennas? What I've found are very small USB adapters with "printed"antennas that have really dismal signal strength.

I own 2 of these. works very nice. easy to install no brainer..
pick-up singal with-in 75 feet no problems. The reason I bought this in the first place to free up one of my PCI slot. When comptuer is turn on, three seconds to connect to internet. sometimes instant, come's in two color, black or white. The first one I bought it 1 year ago, paid $25.00 and the second one I bought 2 month ago, paid $15.00 bucks. If you need one, twenty bucks is decent..
