#1, how so it is not a deal? what price for this type of HD recepter should be considered a deal?
I never own a HD radio before, but always wonder if HD really make a shitty difference compare to either regular FM or online radio stations...

What features does this clock radio have that warrants a $90 price tag?

In the description, it says it has a easy to read LCD display. As opposed to those difficult to read LCD displays found on other clock radios.

Is anybody really sure that this "is" HD? Nowhere in the description does it say that the radio can recieve HD signals. I don't think this is HD, otherwise it would list it as such in it's features.

Edit: It is HD. Strange how that is not fully explained in the features.

Last year I paid $90 for the non-HD single speaker version of this. It was a piece of junk. Receiption was not especially good, sound was muddy, and that thing ran hot. It literally cooked the AA backup batteries so they never lasted very long.

IMO a much better buy is an Internet radio. I picked up a Grace one for $90 and it is great. 16000 channels to choose from. The Internet is the future of radio, not HD.

I am listening to this item right now. I use it every day to wake up. It is nice b/c it has two alarms you can set to a radio station or alarm sound. I set each alarm to a different volume level, so I can listen to a gentle alarm 1st, then get jarred if i'm not awake after 10 min. The sound is rich, nice bass, and the hd stations definitely add value. The remote makes the radio. For me the controls were intuitive. I like that it has external antenea inputs for Am/Fm, although I receive plenty of stations without any antenna used. I don't reaaly use sleep mode, but it is agreat feature that the volume used in sleep mode has no impact on alarm volume--unlike traditional clock/radios.
