I bought one, returned one. If you want to watch HDTV feeds this does work good. The battery will probably give you 2-2.5 hours of use. It will read SD & SDHC cards, even a 1.8 hard drive without additional power. A 2.5 hard drive will require a power source or will need to be fead through a powered USB hub. The screen resolution in the vertical is good (1440) but the horizontal is poor (234).
Why did I return it, my main intention was to play media files (XVID with AC3 audio) & it did work but the playback was choppy & the audio was out of sync. The audio didn't break up, it was just the video. I lowered the video quality, tried different USB devices, tried MP4 for the video, same thing choppy video playback.
Return.
