They have the DVP5982 refurb for $50 that includes playback from USB. Easily worth the extra $10.

I have to disagree #1. I had one for 2 months that went bad. Phillips spews to start with, but refurbs hurl AND spew.

I bought that refurb that #1 (or a similar model) for $35 about 8 months ago w/ USB playback.

Right on arrival it could not read disc's, though the usb input did work. I was able to get a free replacement sent by Philips, but I had to pay about $8 to ship the defective one back.

The replacement has worked flawlessly ever since, but the cost of shipping the defective unit back brought it close to the price of buying a new one at that time.

I haven't used DVD players in months. I got modded x-box to play all my DivX movies.
