I just joined the NRA for $25, and it came with what seems like a better one of these as a gift for signing up. So, if you're into the 2nd ammendment or not, you may be better off joining the NRA than buying this. The website to sign up is: https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp?CampaignID=iygr

#1 sog is usually regarded as high quality, so I doubt you got a better one for signing up for something.

Is the NRA "freebie" an SOG? Like #2 said, SOG is a great product, definitely worth the additional $5 if the NRA deal isn't SOG or Leatherman for that matter.

OK, I'd never heard of SOG before. I have no idea if it's a SOG or not, it just has more features than this one. Click over and see if you can tell from the picture, but I can't. Mine is packed away with my camping gear, so I can't look at it easily right now. I'm guessing that if SOG was a big name, then the website would have mentioned it, and it does not, so it's probably not a SOG.
