tvs are so cheap now no reason to just jump on a deal if you need it.
i bought a sharp aqous 37 inch for 6k when it came out. that thing was a beast. such good quality. still being used. 1080i though. next tv i bought was a 57 inch sony lcd. 1080 p for 4 k.
just buy em if you need it they will get use.

Reply to #3 & #4; You do realize that "LED" really just IS LCD with an LED back lighting/edge lighting instead of a CCFL?
Also check out XDA-developers for "buzzing" problems with the Samsung B series. I had a 50B860 that buzzed and could be heard from 15 feet away w/ normal volume. I returned it and got a Panasonic 50G15. The Panny is a great TV for the price especially!

Thanks #7. Good point. Sometimes manufacturers bundle stuff to get rid of known problem(with their products)stock. I wonder if this is the case with this TV?

Panasonic is the way to go with Plasma. Better PQ and far better reliability.

The only Black Friday "deals" last year were on the absolute lowest, cheapest, garbage models from each brand. I'm not waiting around for the cheap crap--keep looking for great deals on the best.
