Do these support audio?

#2 DVI standards do not support audio, so NO! Also most likely the DVI side connector is going to be DVI-D (not DVI-I or rare DVI-A). I think they mean "male" connector by saying DVI-M type. May be I'm worng!

I just put a Nvidia 9400gt is my linux htpc.
Video card came with an internal connector to the MB S/PDIF output.
I'm guessing that if the DVI spec doesn't support audio, then I'll have to use the included DVI->HDMI adapter instead of a dedicated cable.
