holy smokes, this is a wicked good deal. Just wish I had a time machine to send one back to my self back in 2003 when this was built.

Beware. I bought one of these models (from a different place). Google search DELL Optiplex Bad capacitors. These computers (and some other brands) from this era had a batch of bad capacitors. Dell also had to replace many of these motherboards according to what I've read. Mine only lasted 6 months of light usage. I tested powersupply, swapped the CPU, etc. Finally I inspected the capacitors.

Correct #2. GX 270 is the culprit. Some 260 machines have bad onboard video hardware.

I can't tell which model these are from the descriptions. It could be a GX240, 260, or 270. It was the 270 line in particular that had bad capacitor issues, and specifically the SX270 (my office replaced almost all of them). All of our 100+ GX260s were either disposed of, or are still working just fine, but none of them had bad capacitors.

Not bad for $80. I bought one like this (HP I believe) for my 4-year old kid and she loves it!
