Oddly, it goes into my cart at $26.99 with no rebate necessary or available. So the math is even worse than you thought, #1.

You're right! 2 drive esata, card reader, and usb hub, I'm in for 1. The 1 review states the plastic is flimsy, but if you leave the drives in there, probably not an issue.
