can't say too much, i'd say if your not sure about this board, then go for it. as experienced riders know their stuff. burton is a good name and rei is a great place to buy outdoor stuff

Burton and REI are both great company's, but this is one of the lower end boards in the Burton line. I regularly see better deals on steep and cheap, whiskey militia, and brociety.

like #2 said, both companies have deep history but this is not a "good" burton board. for newbs that can't wait till offseason, yeah, this isn't bad. there's actually a forum board on brociety right now with 58% off. and if you're a newb, try the sport first before committing so much money on equipment. figure out what you like first. if you want a board with MTX, a rocker board, a freeride board, etc. don't be like #3. haha...sorry to hear but no pain no gain.
