Obviously you need to up the memory to 2GB, but is the N280 that much better than the N270?

I have this one and it's great! Only problem is viewing 480p shows hulu. It's kinda choppy.

theres almost no difference between the n270 and n280 as far as real life speed goes-- http://computermonger.com/intel-atom-n280-vs-n270-review.html

also, i believe the difference between the 1008ha and the 1005ha is that the 1008ha is thinner and weighs less. the 1005ha has a removable battery and more usb ports. but if thin and light is really important go for the 1008ha.

heres a pic of the 1008ha and 1005. the fat ones the 1005

270 overclocks better than 280, but 280 is slightly better for video playback.

The seashell looks cool like the macbook air but upgrading the ram requires some serious nerve to tear it apart. Just look it up on youtube. It's not as easy as removing a panel.
