Man, i really need a pair of these around-ear headphones...but the mic would get in the way.

The mike is retractable into the housing

Have had my 5H V2 headset for a little over 2 years now (my older model doesn't come apart into 3 pieces though). The retractable mic is great. The head set is very comfortable, but it doesn't cut out very much external sound. So, if you have a noisy house, these won't help you to hear your game much better. Also, about 6 months ago the ear piece padding started to come loose from the headset. A few more months and I'll have to re-glue them

i've only had this one pair of surround sound headphones...and i couldn't tell the difference compared to a regular pair. They are comfortable and the mic works good. No problems with the auto recognition of the headset for Vista or XP, most likely will work fine on W7. I think i paid $30 for mine with rebate 2 years ago. I wouldn't pay more than that, its not worth $60 in my opinion.
