Just got this camera a couple of days ago. Price is a couple bucks cheaper on amazon and I think bestbuy. Still checking it out but overall happy with it so far. It was one of the few I found at this price range that allows optical zoom function during video mode.

I picked this up at Costco for $299 with their 90 day return policy if I don't like it. So far, I like it.

Is it a lot bulkier than the FX37?

I'm not familiar with the fx37 but I don't consider this 1 bulky, maybe an inch or so deep. (Guess I could look up the dimensions). There are plenty of thinner cameras out there but none with the zoom of this one.

Lumix TZ5 is an excellent camera.

you have to pay ~$30 tax on amazon.. abes is the way to go
