all calls land or mobile go to one handset instead of lugging 2 around the house.

My wife and I love it. We don't get that good of service in our house. With this, we can just leave our cell phones charging up in some place with service and we get our calls on these things. It's really nice.

We eliminated land line and went with this good distance Dect 6 system. We leave the cell phone in same room (safe place) to link Bluetooth with the base unit then have handsets in different rooms of a large house to be able to hear and pick up. We sent back the first of 2 units (4 handsets total) because rechargeable batteries were DOA.

Haven't taken the time to learn how to connect with the cell phone, but good battery life and range. very satisfied.

Yeah, if you park the cellphone upstairs where it has service, the bluetooth link will reach a bit of distance so you can put this thing wherever the phone line is convenient.
Then you can use the phones in the basement, handling calls over the landline or cellphone. Take 'em out in the garden or shop, and if there's a mishap, you're out a $40 expansion handset instead of a $200 cellphone.

nope, no texting from these handsets. At least, I don't think so.
