    These are some great specs for a machine in this price range. Well worth it if you are looking for a new laptop!

    problem with 17" notebooks with numpads is that the touch-pad is off-center and gets bumped more often while typing. these sort of demand the use of a mouse.

    the 17.3 size is a bit large. I had one and the only way I would buy one again is for a desktop replacement. I have since moved back down to 16

    Newegg had one for $399 nearly same/same specs. Bummer waited too long

    The numbpad is still centered over the typical keyboard keys other laptops have, there should be no reason for accidentally bumping it more or less often than on other laptops.

    17" is a bit large to carry around every day, but for occasional use it's not a big deal if you are a full grown adult.
