Tried this and found eSATA didn't work (blue screened Windows 7). USB worked fine though. For $10 it isn't worth the cost and hassle to return. Support from Kingwin is non-existent.

I've purchased two of these, both eSATA and USB work on mine. This is a great price.

isn't this $15 if the rebate is $15?

No, it's $30 since you'll probably never get your rebate. REBATES SUCK.

#8, does it work with old IDE drives?
#10   mosulli - Posted 12:20 pm PST 11/27/09 (15 Posts)
#9, no I think only SATA drives. I haven't used it that much

Is there any one that works with both IDE and SATA? Anybody know?

#11 - Since SATA and IDE have completely different connectors for both data and power I believe that a dock is not going to happen. I do have a cable setup that converts either to USB, but it is just connectors and wires, not a dock.

Easier to get an IDE bay and adapt it to SATA, than an SATA and adapt to IDE because the IDE would have both 5V and 12V present with the SATA HDD capable of using 5V in lieu of 3.3V, but the IDE not capable of using 3.3V instead of 5V.
