i feel like a lot of antec power supplies are seasonic units. perhaps they collaborate on design or outsource to the same factory in china

I am not sure what 'feel like' means. Personally, I 'feel like food'.
The old earthwatt units were made by seasonic. I am 99% sure that for the last year all the earthwatt units have been made by delta. Both are a good value.

The EA380D, EA430D, EA650 and EA750 are Delta units. The old EA380, EA430 and EA500 are Seasonic units. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them.
