I prefer my F70EXR for almost $100 less. Panny's ZS3 is also cheaper.

The Canon has a lower resolution screen than the Panasonic ZS3, does not shoot AVCHD video with full zoom control, and has a flash that pops up and gets in your way when you turn the camera on. Enough reason to choose the ZS3 over this.

I have this and it works great, picture quality is awesome very easy to use, you have full control over manual settings. The complaints listed by #4 are from all the reviews but not a reason to discount this camera. The only thing I dont like about this camera is that you need a fast card to take video. If you get a cheapie card it is too slow and you cannot take video longet than ~10 sec. Once I bought a good card this is a great camera. But I have not tried the ZS3 beyond testing it in Frys electronics, since I pretty much only have purchased canons.
