I dunno about the "deep bass" part. This thing puts out only 4 watts to the "subwoofer". Then again...like it says.bacon's $20.

They're $24.95 at Amazon, add a filler to get free shipping...

If you happen to live right next to a Fry's this is decent. You can't really tell anything from Manufacturer power claims, but I got Dell 2.1 on sale for $25 shipped and it says 33W.

I have these at my desk at work. Turned all the way up, you're not going to win any SPL competitions. Clear, decent sound but don't make the mistake of putting the sub under the desk. You'll never find it again unless you turn the bass all the way up when you're trying to retrieve it. MicroCenter had this for $20 awhile back. I would buy the same unit twice. Just waiting for MC to get it on sale again.

1.5W per satellite? Geeze, I had old soundblaster cards with amp chips capable of more, pair them up with one of the long past black friday $20 bookshelf speaker deals and that would probably blow this combo away.

1.5 watts each + subwoofer 4 watts don't seem to have enough juice for your ears. I'll pass..
