IDE cases are harder to find than sata.
might be a good way to use the ide drive I have that is too slow for me to want to put in a new computer.

had something very similar a few years back, was IDE, and was an absolute PITA to setup and keep running. I remember simply throwing it in the trash last year. was a nice enclosure in terms of the physical size and durability; but i would rather waste time doing something more productive like shuffling paper rather than maintaining one of these. better bet is to likely go with a WD device designed for this type of use. If this is okay to setup and maintain, then it's probably a good way to keep those IDE drives at the ready; otherwise, try another method.
