I bought one of these when I got a 40" Samsung LCD. The sound on the Samsung was absolutely atrocious. The sound bar definitely improved the sound quality to acceptable. I also purchased a Sharp HTSB200 with the intention of taking one back. The sound quality of both was very comparable but I took the Vizio back and kept the Sharp. Here's why:
The Vizio is freakin' huge. I sat it on the stand in front of my TV and it covered up the remote window on the TV. The remote that comes with the Vizio is the shitty bubble remote that doesn't have actual buttons, just raised spots in the plastic. It doesn't have any kind of display other than some LEDs that light up behind the cloth cover on the front. And last but certainly not least, it doesn't have any kind of adjustment for treble or bass. You can change the soundfield from News to Movie to Sporting event etc but other than than that, you are stuck with the way it sounds. I did like the fact that it was controllable by my Dish Network universal remote.
The Sharp is smaller, has a display on the front, is adjustable and has an actual remote with buttons on it. I cannot, however, find a code to use it with a universal remote.
