They hold up to 400lbs and only weigh a pound. I used to be a big fan of rope hammocks like the one above but eventually realized that not only is having rope digging into your back kind of uncomfortable (actually it sucks), if you leave them outside you're pretty much guaranteed to have it rot out on you and break pretty quickly. I'd highly recommend checking out the Trek Light Hammocks, I've owned one for almost 4 years now and pretty much everyone I know has bought one after trying mine.

I think you would need the "reinforced" stand. I understand that it can hold up 500 lbs. It has been tested by my mom who weighs a lot more than you do.
